Bijagua de Upala -Albergue Tierras Altas-

The Tierras Altas Lodge offers a home in the mountains of the Tenorio Volcano, on the northwestern flank near Bijagua de Upala. It has an area of 3.7 hectares, with an intervened forest, protected for 13 years, with trails. A garden area, fruit trees and timber reforestation, a pond that is fed with rainwater, which gives opportunity to various species of life. This space is accessible via trails, easy access where you walk along the edge of woods, where a large number of birds and butterflies can be observed. There is a biological corridor linking two areas of forest, that runs through the property, and was planted with fruit trees.

Some areas of the area planted with edible plants, such as cassava, corn, beans, cocoyam, plantain, banana and others according to the time of planting or harvest.

You can tour the area or just sit and enjoy the view, the Miravalles Volcano being sighted off the plot, enjoy a hammock and a good book. You can make use of an extensive library.

El Albergue Tierras Altas ofrece una casa en la montaña, parte del macizo del Volcán Tenorio, flanco nor-oeste, del mismo, cerca de Bijagua de Upala. Tiene un área de 3.7 has. con bosque intervenido, protegido desde hace 13 años, con senderos. Un área de jardines, árboles frutales y maderables de reforestación, laguna que se alimenta con agua de lluvia, la cual da oportunidad de vida a diversas especies. Este espacio es accesible a través de senderos, de fácil acceso en donde se camina a lo largo de la orilla de bosque, lugar donde se observan cantidad de aves y mariposas, principalmente. Existe un corredor biológico que une dos áreas de bosque, este atraviesa la propiedad, fue sembrado con árboles frutales.

Algunos espacios del área se siembran con plantas comestibles, yuca, maíz, frijoles, tiquisque, plátano, banano, otros; de acuerdo a la época de siembra o cosecha.

Usted puede recorrer el espacio o simplemente sentarse a disfrutar del panorama, la vistada del Volcán Miravalles frente a la parcela, disfrutar de una hamaca y un buen libro. Puede hacer uso de una amplia biblioteca.
